Instead of preparing sensibly for my trip to France, my good friend Steve Comeau of Collideascope (Canadian TV/animation/Web hothouse) came round for dinner and we swapped stories about new projects we had in our heads.
I talked about an idea I've had brewing for a while about a man who travels around the world videoing his life, posting it on the Net and asking people to give him money to get to his next destination. Kind of picaresque online performance art.
After drinking far too much wine, Steve persuaded me that the best way to get started is to just do it. He promptly locked me in the back of my car with a camera, my dog and a pile of womens shoes. Here are some stills.
It has at least made me think I should just start building the project in public and see how it develops. So watch this space for the first episode of 'Get Stoned'.
Thanks Steve. You're right. It's no good just talking about stuff. Gotta get out there and experiment. However ridiculous it may look!
